The Rector of the Islamic University in Uganda, Associate Professor Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda is on an International visit to The Federal Republic of Nigeria to expand and enhance IUIU ties, opportunities, and collaboration. On 21st July 2023, he met H.E., Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso who was highly supportive of the collaboration and agreed to support educational opportunities at the Islamic University.
On 22 July 2023, he paid a courtesy call to the University Council member, His Royal Highness Dr, Engineer M.C YaMusa III Emir of Keffi at his Royal Palace, Nasarawa where they discussed matters related to the development of IUIU including student enrollment. The Rector was accompanied by Dr. Halima Wakabi Akbar, the Academic Registrar, and Mr. Ismail Rano, in charge of International students.
