The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) has taken another significant step towards expanding its international academic collaborations following a visit by a high-level delegation from Dar-ul-Madinah International University, Islamabad, Pakistan, led by its Chancellor, Al-Sheikh Javed Akhtar.
The delegation was warmly received by the University leadership, with the visit providing an opportunity for meaningful engagements and discussions aimed at fostering stronger institutional ties between the two universities.
A key highlight of the visit was a meeting with the Rector of IUIU, during which both institutions explored opportunities for collaboration in higher education, academic research, innovation and the advancement of Islamic scholarship.
The engagement culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishing a framework for strengthening academic cooperation and promoting mutually beneficial partnerships between the two institutions.
The agreement represents an important milestone in IUIU's ongoing efforts to broaden its international academic network, facilitate knowledge exchange and create opportunities for collaborative initiatives that contribute to academic excellence and institutional development.
Beyond academic cooperation, the partnership underscores the shared commitment of both institutions to promoting Islamic values, intellectual advancement and stronger educational and cultural ties between Uganda and Pakistan.
Through strategic international engagements of this nature, the Islamic University in Uganda continues to reinforce its position as an institution committed to quality higher education, global collaboration and the advancement of knowledge.
