Mufti Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubajje Calls for Strong Family Values at the 39th IUIU Annual Ramadhan Convention
We were deeply honoured to host Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubajje, the Mufti of the Republic of Uganda, at the 39th IUIU Annual Ramadhan Convention.
Addressing participants under the theme “Rebuilding Strong Families: Addressing the Challenges of Marital Discord and Family Breakdown among Muslim Communities,” the Mufti emphasized the importance of unity, mutual understanding, and strong family foundations within the Muslim community. He particularly advised the youth to be mindful when choosing marriage partners, stressing that compatibility in values, faith, character, and life goals is essential for building stable and lasting marriages.
He noted that many family challenges arise when couples overlook these critical factors, urging young Muslims to approach marriage with wisdom, patience, and a deep sense of responsibility. By prioritizing compatibility and mutual respect, he explained, couples can nurture families that contribute positively to the wellbeing and unity of the wider Muslim community.
