Prof Majid Kagimu visits IUIU

Professor Majid Kagimu, the Deputy Vice Chairperson of the Academic Affairs Committee at the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), visited the institution on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. 

He received a warm welcome from key figures at IUIU, including Professor Abdul Kaziiba Mpaata, the Rector in charge of Finance and Administration, Dr. Jamil Serwanga, the Vice Rector in charge of Academics, and Dr. Halima Wakabi Akbar, the Academic Registrar.
Dr. Jamil Serwanga expressed heartfelt appreciation to Professor Kagimu for his visit to IUIU and continuous support, which has been instrumental in the institution's growth.

Professor Kagimu commended the administration and staff of IUIU for their unwavering commitment to the institution's mission and objectives. 
He expressed admiration for the university's progress under their leadership and recognized the role played by the academic community in shaping the future of IUIU.

During the visit, Professor Kagimu announced several significant initiatives aimed at enhancing the committee's operations. 
Later, he was taken on a campus tour where he visited key areas such as the new library under construction, the post-graduate lounge, and computer libraries.
