IUIU Welcomes Delegation From The IsDB

Islamic University in Uganda welcomed a delegation from the ISDB on September 20th, 2023, at its main campus in Mbale. Led by Mr. Mohamed Abdallah, the team from Djibouti was received by Prof. Abdul Kaziba Mpaata, the vice-rector in charge of finance and administration, Dr. Jamil Serwanga, the vice-rector in charge of academics, Mr. Kinsambwe Rashid, the assistant university secretary, and other university staff members in the boardroom.

During the visit, the delegation had a meeting with IUIU and also visited the construction site of the faculty of engineering funded by IsDB. The site is currently in its early stages of construction, involving excavation, fencing, and demarcation. The project engineer estimated that the construction will be completed within 10 months.

Prof. Abdul expressed gratitude on behalf of the Rector to ISDB for their continuous support, which has greatly contributed to the progress of IUIU in terms of infrastructure and ICT. Mr. Mohamed Abdallah congratulated IUIU on the commencement of the construction and equipping of the faculty of engineering at the main campus. He prayed for the project to proceed successfully with the blessings of Allah.
