IUIU Hosts Delegation from Aditya University India, to Explore Academic Collaboration

The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) officially welcomed its new students for the 2025/2026 academic year during an admissions ceremony held on 25th October 2025 at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Main Campus in Mbale.
The event brought together university administrators, staff, students, and guests in a celebration of academic excellence and new beginnings.

In her remarks, the Academic Registrar congratulated the new students upon joining IUIU, reminding them that admission into the university marks the beginning of a transformative academic journey. She emphasized the importance of discipline, hard work, and adherence to university values, which form the foundation of IUIU’s long-standing reputation for producing competent and ethical graduates.
The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jamil Serwanga, urged students to embrace the opportunities presented by the digital learning environment and to utilize university resources effectively. He encouraged them to balance academic pursuit with personal growth, highlighting IUIU’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded graduates equipped for the demands of the modern world.

The Guest of Honour, Mr. Kooko Francis, a Senior Education Officer and proud three-time IUIU graduate, applauded the university’s continued excellence in training professionals who are highly regarded in the education sector and beyond. He encouraged students to stay focused, build meaningful networks, and take pride in being part of an institution that values quality and integrity.

Mr. Francis also praised IUIU’s strong community engagement and social responsibility efforts, noting the positive relationship between the university and the Mbale community.
The ceremony marked the start of an exciting academic journey for hundreds of new students joining various faculties, reaffirming IUIU’s commitment to delivering holistic, value-based education.
