IUIU Management Meets Students to Address Concerns and Strengthen Collaboration
The management of the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) held a consultative meeting with students at the Main Campus in Mbale aimed at discussing student concerns and strengthening collaboration between the administration and the student body.
The meeting was led by the Rector, Assoc Prof. Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda, and attended by Vice Rectors Dr. Jamil Serwanga and Dr. Abdul Kaziba Mpaata, the Academic Registrar Dr. Adam Ali, the University Secretary Mr. Hamza Sewankambo, the University Coordinator Mr. Siraji Mukhwana, and other members of staff.
The engagement provided students with an opportunity to openly share their concerns and suggestions regarding various aspects of university life. During the meeting, students commended the university administration for its efforts in ensuring the smooth running of academic and administrative activities. They also requested that the administration enhance its efforts in addressing several areas that affect their academic experience.
In his remarks, Prof. Gyagenda appreciated the students for their constructive engagement and assured them of the administration’s continued support. He emphasized that the university leadership remains committed to working closely with students to address their concerns and create a conducive learning environment.
The Rector reaffirmed that the primary mission of the university is to support students in achieving their goal of attaining quality education and pledged that the administration will continue to work on the challenges raised during the meeting.
