IUIU Leadership Meets to Explore Strategies for Income Diversification

The Rectorship of the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) convened a strategic meeting on 5th February 2026, bringing together the Directors of Campuses and heads of non-academic directorates, including Endowment, Research and Grants, Alumni Engagement, and Institutional Planning and Development.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. Abdul Kaziba Mpaata the Vice Rector in charge of Finance and Administration, and co-chaired by Dr. Jamil Serwanga the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs.
It was also attended by Mr Sewankambo Hamza, the University Secretary, Academic Registrar Dr Adam Ali and Directors of Campuses.
The meeting focused on identifying strategies to diversify the University's income, aiming to ensure financial sustainability and drive institutional growth. Participants proposed specific actions to boost resource mobilization, build partnerships, and expand revenue-generating programs across IUIU.
