The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) has once again demonstrated its commitment to regional academic cooperation by hosting the third cohort of students from the International University of Africa (IUA) in Sudan for their examinations at the IUIU Main Campus in Mbale from 20th April to 20th May 2026.
The examination management team from Sudan comprised Dr. Ahmed Babker Mohammed, who headed the delegation, Ustaz Mohammed Ali Faroug, Dr. Suliman Basher Aldoud, Dr. Hafiza Mohammed Abdalla, and Marrow Abulrahman.
The arrangement was made following the continued challenges in Sudan, which have affected normal academic operations. While some students were able to travel to Khartoum for examinations, many others were able to sit their examinations from Uganda.
IUA expressed appreciation to IUIU management led by the Rector, Assoc Prof Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda, for the continuous support extended to Sudanese students through students’ academic pursuits and easing the challenges they face during the ongoing situation in Sudan.
