IUIU Hosts NCHE Team for Facilities Assessment Across Campuses
The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) hosted a team from the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) to assess facilities and academic resources supporting the University’s Faculty of Law.
The visit involved a tour of IUIU’s campuses, beginning with the Females’ Campus, followed by the Kampala Campus and the Main Campus in Mbale. The team inspected key facilities, including lecture rooms, the moot court, staff offices, libraries, laboratories, and other learning resources that support the delivery of legal education.
The engagement forms part of IUIU’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its academic infrastructure and enhance the learning environment as the University explores opportunities to expand its intake of Law students.
University officials, led by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jamil Serwanga, and accompanied by the Academic Registrar, Dr. Adam Ali, and the Assistant Quality Assurance Officer, guided the NCHE team through the various facilities. The officials highlighted ongoing developments and investments aimed at ensuring that students have access to adequate learning resources and a conducive environment for teaching, learning, and academic development.
