IUIU Appreciates Nigerian TAC Staff for Dedicated Service

The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) has bid farewell to 17 Technical Aid Corps (TAC) staff from Nigeria who have been serving at the university under a two-year contract facilitated by the Government of Nigeria since 2024.
The staff was deployed across IUIU campuses, including the Main Campus in Mbale, the Kampala Campus, and the Females’ Campus, where they contributed to teaching, research, and academic development across various disciplines.

Speaking during the farewell event on behalf of the Rector, Professor Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda, the Academic Registrar, Dr. Adam Ali, commended the TAC staff for their dedicated service and contribution to the growth of the university during their stay. He also extended appreciation to the Government of Nigeria for its continued support and partnership in actualizing the Technical Aid Corps programme at IUIU.
Dr. Adam noted that the programme has strengthened academic cooperation between Uganda and Nigeria while enhancing knowledge exchange and capacity building within the university.
Speaking on behalf of the TAC staff, the team coordinator expressed gratitude to the IUIU administration for the support and hospitality accorded to them throughout their stay in Uganda. He noted that the conducive working environment and support from the university administration greatly eased their work and enabled them to effectively execute their duties.
