The Guild leadership of the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) Main Campus held a meeting with the Rector, Prof. Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda, at his office in Mbale.
The meeting was convened to discuss and address key issues concerning the students.
The delegation was led by the Guild President, H.E. Ssebulime Abdul Swamad, and included the Lady Vice President, Ms. Katintini Saubah; General Secretary, Wafula Ivan; State Minister for Campus Affairs, Lyagoba Sharif; and Guild representatives Nansubuga Fatumah and Kemigisha Johnson.
During the session, the student leaders presented a number of concerns and suggestions aimed at improving the welfare and academic experience of students.
The Rector Accompanied by the Vice Rector, Academic fairs Dr Jamil Serwanga, Vice Rector in charge of finance and Administration Prof Abdul Kaziba Mpaata and the University Cordinator Mr Mukwana Siraji, welcomed the engagement, commended the team for their proactive approach, and assured them of the administration’s readiness to work closely with the Guild to find practical solutions.
