IUIU Students Acquire Multi Media Skills

Students of Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) from kibuli campus and Kabojja campus, from the department of Mass Communication have successfully completed their two weeks multimedia training which was organized by Ultimate Media consult (US Mission) hosted by IUIU Kibuli Campus. The Physical training commenced on Monday 22nd-Friday 26 may, 2023.
In the course of two weeks students from the duo campuses managed to acquire multimedia skills like, understanding the trend of new media, writing Multimedia stories, pitching story ideas, and understanding of digital internet among others.
In his remarks, during the closing day of the training, Mr. kujawa Tony the Spokesperson US Mission, which is the sponsor of Ultimate Media Consult, pledged to continue with the support to Ultimate Media Consult, to ensure that multimedia knowledge is imparted in journalism students.
Dr.Twaha Ahmed Kasule, the Director IUIU Kibuli Campus, urged students to practice what they have got from the training in all their field as journalists, adding that lecturers should also adhere to such skills.
While giving his closing remarks, Dr. Rajab Idd Muyingo, the Head of Mass communication Department at IUIU, commended Ultimate Media Consult and US mission for facilitating the Multi Media training of students financially.
He also urged students who participated in the training to utilize the skills gained in their day to day life as journalist, and know that journalism is dynamic thing where technology keeps it changing. 
The exercise which took two weeks ended by awarding certificates to all participants and writers of best articles were also awarded, among which who were awarded include Sumaya Naluwaga, Rita Kangume,Nakato Hadijah and Issac Ibrahim respectively.
