IUIU Vice Rector Academic Affairs Tips Students With Entrepreneurship Skills

The Vice Rector of Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), Dr. Jamil Sserwanga has tipped Students of IUIU with Entrepreneur Skills.

He availed the skills on Monday during the launch of the Entrepreneur Exhibition held at IUIU main campus in Mbale city in Sumaya hall organized by Faculty of Management Studies under their umbrella Association Islamic University Management Student’s Association (IUMSA).

In his remarks, Dr. Jamil urged the students to maintain their business ideas and ensure that it prospers rather than ignoring as this will help them fight unemployment.

‘’Maintain your business ideas, this is not a joke everyone has a potential to become to become powerful entrepreneur unless you don’t want, take those ideas serious don’t abandon them just build them up, also let’s have calculative minds my students as your seated here get your role model entrepreneur,’’ he said.

Mr. Mafabi Muzamiru, the Dean faculty of management studies says as a faculty, they are aiming at value addition to the products and innovation in order to stop the search for jobs by their graduands.

‘’Dear students, as you get out there don’t wait for white collar jobs only the skills, the ideas that you have come up with begin from there, go and widen on that and start employing yourself and employ others, don’t tear your shoes looking for jobs use the Entrepreneur skills you have,’’ he advised

Dr. Adeleke Banwo, a lecturer from Faculty of Management Studies and the brain behind the Entrepreneur Exhibition cited that Entrepreneur skills will help students to become problem solvers, reduce unemployment.

‘’These skills will help our students to solve problem, fight unemployment when they finish campus, and this the developed the idea by themselves they will be able to them it forward as lecturers we want to see them progressing,’’ he said.
