The Guild President Bosaso University Completes a Three-day Visit To IUIU

The guild president of Bosaso University, H.E Abdullahi Mahmoud Ismail has completed his three days visit to Islamic University in Uganda. The visit started on the 6th to the 8th of Sept 2022 at the main campus. Ismail revealed that his visit to IUIU will help him improve his leadership. He said the knowledge achieved from Islamic University Students Union (IUSU) with be put into practice since he now knows how the IUSU government operates.

“On behalf of the UB, I would like to appreciate what IUIU has done for us. We thank you for allowing us to work with you and honestly, we have gained a lot. All the offices have been friendly and helpful in providing information.” Said HE Abdullahi. He advised IUIU students to participate and take part in politics to gain more experience and courage for bigger positions after university.

However, the general secretary IUSU government, Bet Ali said they are committed to continuing working with the University of Bosaso (UB) in Somalia. The Secretary lauded the Somalia University for sending students to spend their sabbatical at IUIU, noting that this shows the trust and confidence they have in IUIU in terms of Academic strength and capacity building.

Mohammad Hared a Masters student at IUIU Kampala Campus and an old student of Bosaso University who had accompanied guild president could not hide his happiness for the grate time spend at IUIU. “We have learned how to handle students especially when interacting with the leadership.”

The visit was concluded with a tour to Sipi falls in Kapchorwa District.
