Department of Mass Communication

The Department of Mass Communication, situated within the department of Arts and Social Sciences, was founded in 1996 with the objective of providing a Bachelor of Science Degree program in Mass Communication. The primary objective of the curriculum was to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue fulfilling professional opportunities in the realm of journalism and communication. The alumni of this undergraduate program possess the skills and knowledge necessary to secure employment in several media-related fields, such as journalism, blogging, public relations, communication management, advertising, video and audio production, photography, and more.

The department places equal emphasis on the development of communication professionals who possess both ethical and technological proficiency, enabling them to effectively contribute to their surroundings and society as a whole. By engaging in various program activities, students have the potential to develop into knowledgeable, accountable, innovative, and discerning communicators who possess the skills necessary to actively engage in a wide range of media platforms within a dynamic and diversified landscape.
