Dr. Wale Lateef Adeyemo obtained an LL.B Combined Laws (Common law and Islamic law) Degree from Bayero University Kano Nigeria in 1994, after that, he attended Nigerian Law School Lagos where he obtained his Barrister at Law Certificate (B.L) in 1996, and enrolled as Barrister and Solicitor of Supreme Court of Nigeria. He also acquired a Master's Degree in Law and a Master of Commercial and Business Law in 2008. He pursued his Ph.D and obtained it at the esteemed Islamic Science University of Malaysia in 2020. The area of his Ph.D research is Islamic Banking and Finance.

Dr. Abdullateef worked as a lecturer at Kano State Polytechnic Nigeria between 1998- 2005, Xylem Consulting (Chartered Accountants) School, Katsina Nigeria 2012 – 2015, Lagos State University Nigeria between 2021- 2022 and Islamic University in Uganda. 2022 till date

Beside, lecturing, he practices law in Kano and other places in Nigeria. He was head of W. A. Abdullateef Law firm before the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs allowed him to serve under the 2022 Technical Aid Corps (TAC) in Uganda where he discharged his primary assignment at Islamic University in Uganda.

He won the 2023 International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) Integration of Knowledge in Teaching Materials Project Call for Book / Chapter Proposals grant to write an academic book titled “Gate Way to Islamic Business Transactions”. The book will acquaint students and future researchers with practical skills and deep understanding of Shariah norms in Islamic business transactions, and Islamic banking and finance institutions. It will also help policymakers to formulate appropriate policies along with Shariah that will enhance organizational performance and thus promote economic growth globally as Shariah against the charging of interest. The work aims at equipping academicians with knowledge and information on Islamic business transactions as a basis for further research. It would serve as a guide to the people on any kind of business engagement they are willing to do, to know what Halal (legal) or Haram (illegal) is.
